The crypto community is awaiting the massive token unlock led by ARB in March 2024. In a series of X posts, OxScope, the AI data layer for Web3 AI applications, shared insights on the upcoming token unlock events to unleash more than $2.9 billion tokens.
According to the post, Arbitrum’s ARB leads the charge with a potential unlock of 1.11 billion tokens, valued at a staggering $2.2 billion. Slated for March 15, ARB is set to unlock 87.20% of the total circulating supply of ARB tokens.
Another substantial unlocking event includes APT, which is priced at $11.81 at press time. On March 13, the crypto community will witness Aptos unleashing 24.84 million APT tokens worth $290 million. The unlocking amount constitutes 6.76% of the total supply of APT tokens.
Similarly, on March 12, Immutable’s IMX will unlock 2.46% of its total supply. At the time of writing, IMX, which traded at $3.22, will experience an unlock of 34.19 million tokens worth $110 million. Further, ID and OP unleash 78.49 million and 24.16 million tokens, respectively, both valued at $90 million.
A Chinese reporter, Colin Wu, shared insights on Token Unlocks data, shedding light on the astonishing unlock events ahead in the month. According to estimations, the events are set to release a total of $2.919 billion.
In detail, of the total 1.11 billion ARB tokens unlocking in the event, 673.50 million tokens are reserved for the team, while 438.28 million are set for the investors. In the IMX token release, 8.66 million will be unlocked for private sales, 15.91 million for the ecosystem, and 9.62 million for project development. At the same time, 12.75 million OP tokens from the total 24.16 million will be released for core contributors and 11.41 million for investors.
