VeChain Unveils No-Code User-Friendly NFT Platform: Report

Blockchain firm VeChain has launched a new platform designed to simplify the creation, buying, and selling of digital assets. This “no-code” solution called Marketplace-as-a-Service (MaaS) aims to make Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) more accessible to a wider audience.

The launch coincides with a partnership between VeChain and Gresini Racing, a well-known MotoGP team. Gresini Racing will utilize MaaS to offer its fanbase exclusive digital collectibles potentially introducing a new audience to blockchain technology. The full platform launch is expected later this year.

Analysts suggest there’s a growing need for user-friendly tools to tokenize real-world assets (RWAs). MaaS caters to this demand by offering a low-barrier entry point for both businesses and individuals. The platform’s no-code interface simplifies NFT creation and management. Future updates are planned to include integration with Near Field Communication (NFC) technology allowing the creation of “phygitals” ( physical objects with corresponding digital tokens).

Gresini Racing has become the first company to take advantage of the innovative technology of MaaS. By using this platform, the team is now able to offer their fans exclusive digital collectibles thereby increasing fan engagement.

The platform incorporates social media login which eliminates the need for cryptocurrency wallets. And with the built-in fiat-to-crypto conversion feature, users can purchase NFTs using their credit cards.

MaaS offers configurable marketplace features such as gated collections that allow for controlled access and management of secondary sales. It is also compatible with Account Abstraction, a technology that enables seamless transactions across different blockchains making it a versatile and powerful tool for Gresini Racing’s fans.

This launch follows VeChain’s introduction of VORJ in 2023. VORJ is another no-code platform that empowers users to deploy various blockchain functionalities without the need of coding expertise. VeChain seems committed to removing barriers to entry in the blockchain space, aiming to replicate the user-friendliness of Web2 technologies to drive widespread adoption.

Carlo Merlini, Gresini Racing’s Commercial and Marketing Director commented on the development highlighting the team’s desire to leverage Web3 for stronger fan engagement and cater to the increasingly digital MotoGP audience. Gresini Racing’s exclusive content, including memorabilia and experiences, will be accessible through NFTs facilitated by MaaS.

VeChain’s Communications Lead, Jake Campton emphasized MaaS’s potential to streamline blockchain adoption through its no-code solutions, stating

The launch of VeChain’s MaaS platform is yet another initiative that demonstrates our resolution to supporting seamless mass adoption of blockchain technology through easy-to-implement, no-code solutions.

The applications for MaaS are extensive, addressing the rising demand for platforms that facilitate asset tokenization. This trend aligns with recent developments like Blackrock’s application for a Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization fund. They unveiled their first-ever tokenized fund, the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL).
