T-Mobile and Deutsche Telekom have collaborated with oracle network Chainlink to launch the new annual T challenge, a worldwide arena for innovators and disruptors to compete for an award on the finest Public Blockchain Protocol solutions for Web3.

The challenge will make use of the power of 5G in order to bring Web3 to life, and 5G will play a crucial role in determining how users will remain connected to the innovations that are being developed.

The event’s organizers believe that Web3 will be one of the most significant technological developments in the years to come. As a supplier of telecommunications services, Deutsche Telekom, which is also the parent company of T-Mobile, is participating in the third iteration of the T Challenge in order to investigate the new opportunities that these technologies provide for both the firm and its consumers.

This is done with the understanding that transformative technologies like Web3, crypto, or the metaverse need a unique level of digital accountability in the design of their systems.

According to Claudia Nemat, Board Member for Technology and Innovation at Telekom, in line with their commitment to human-centric technology deployment, they are particularly interested in the ways in which they can use Web3 technologies to support their more than 240 million mobile customers in Europe and the United States in their day-to-day lives.

Neville Ray, President of Technology at T-Mobile US, said:

“This year’s T Challenge is an excellent chance for young companies and developers to leverage the incredible power of our 5G network to create the next wave of innovation and new internet capabilities.”

T-Mobile added that because of the advantages consumers and creators may reap from open-source innovation, this development may prompt a rethinking of business structures for a wide variety of digital applications.
