Tether has minted $1 billion USDT on Tron, pushing its total for the past year to $33 billion. On August 20, Tether added these tokens to its Treasury wallet. This follows a similar $1 billion mint on Ethereum. Tether's CEO stated the new tokens are for inventory replenishment, not immediate issuance. Demand remains high, with only $36 million USDT left authorized but not issued on Tron. Tron now holds 37.9% of the stablecoin market.
