Dubai Tightens Rules on Crypto Investment Marketing

Dubai’s Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) has introduced stricter guidelines for cryptocurrency investment marketing, effective from October 1. Companies promoting virtual assets must now include clear disclaimers, warning that these assets may lose value or face extreme volatility. This move aims to protect investors by emphasizing the risks associated with virtual assets. Matthew White, CEO of VARA, highlighted the importance of these guidelines in promoting responsible practices among virtual asset service providers (VASPs) while fostering transparency and trust in the market. The new rules underscore Dubai’s commitment to regulating the growing crypto industry responsibly.
