Coinbase to Remove Non-Compliant Stablecoins in the EU

Coinbase Global Inc. plans to delist all unauthorized stablecoins from its exchange in the European Economic Area by December 30, 2024, as the EU's MiCA regulations come into effect. These rules require stablecoin issuers to hold e-money authorization in at least one member state. Coinbase will soon announce options for users to convert to compliant stablecoins like Circle's USDC. Other exchanges have already limited access to Tether's USDT in Europe.
