Illuvium, a decentralized game studio, has launched Illuvium: Beyond, a new blockchain-based initiative in collaboration with web3 gaming platform ImmutableX.
The project involves players competing to collect the most powerful NFT avatars, known as Illuvitars, which are customizable illustrations of Illuvials in the Illuvium universe.
These NFTs, which are hand-drawn by artists who have worked on popular games such as Magic: The Gathering, are unique works of art that can be personalized with different accessories.
Illuvitar Power, which reflects the rarity of each NFT, is directly tied to the Illuvium Album, an interactive collection game. Collectors can compete against each other to rank on the global leaderboard, with rarer items earning more points. The Illuvium universe is expanding and the Illuvitars will play a more significant role, though specific details have not been disclosed.
The Illuvitars mint is scheduled for March 7th, 2023, and will be sold in two types of packs: Illuvitar D1SKs and Mega D1SKs. Binance is providing a fiat payment experience, while Chainlink’s VRF technology is ensuring a transparent selection process for raffle winners. ImmutableX is providing security and fast NFT minting and trading.
Illuvium is the first blockchain gaming universe in the world to be interoperable, and it is constructed on the robust zk-rollup developer platform. It already has a marketplace called IlluviDex, where it has transacted the sale of over 20,000 virtual plots with a total value of $72 million.
The universe includes a open-world role-playing game (RPG) exploration game, an industrial city building game, and a strategic auto battler game. These games contain digital animals that players may fight, capture, and nurture back to health.
