Internet Computer And Vega Protocol Top Developer Activity Stats

Crypto projects Internet Computer and Vega Protocol were recently featured in the analytics platform Santiment’s list of the top 10 crypto assets based on development activity. The blockchain intelligence firm compiled the list earlier today and included crypto projects with the highest number of developmental events in the form of GitHub commits.

Santiment took to Twitter earlier today to share the list of the top development activity assets:

The list was topped by crypto heavyweights like Polkadot, Cardano, and Cosmos which boasted a combined average development activity count of more than 1386 over the past 30 days. However, these mainstream crypto assets faced competition from comparatively smaller projects like Internet Computer and Vega Protocol, which had a combined average development activity of almost 700.

Internet Computer, a general-purpose blockchain focused on integrating decentralized applications with the web, had a development activity count of over 391 over the past 30 days. The recent hike of this metric prompted a short lived rally which pushed its native token IC’s price up by as much as 4.5% earlier today. At the time of writing, it was trading at $4.39.

Vega Protocol, a custom built proof of stake blockchain that provides derivatives scaling layer for the web, ranked 8th on Santiment’s list of top development activity. To be precise, the project boasted more than 300 development activity events over the past 30 days.

Data from CoinMarketCap showed that the protocol’s native token VEGA gained more than 5% over the past 24 hours.

According to Sanbase, Internet Computer saw a dramatic rise in its development activity in early June. The development activity reached a six-month high on July 3, 2023. The uptick in Vega Protocol’s development activity also began in early June and reached a two month high on June 27, 2023.
