Indian authorities have arrested a man for allegedly kidnapping two employees of BitConnect's creator and extorting $125 million in crypto. The man, Shailesh Babulal Bhatt, lost money investing in BitConnect, a crypto Ponzi scheme. To recoup his losses, he kidnapped the employees and demanded a ransom in cryptocurrency. Indian law enforcement has recovered $52 million in assets linked to the extortion.
