OKX Secures MPI License in Singapore, Appoints New CEO

OKX has achieved a significant milestone by securing a Major Payment Institution (MPI) license from Singapore's Monetary Authority (MAS), following an in-principle approval earlier in 2024. This license allows OKX Singapore (OKX SG) to offer digital payment token services and cross-border money transfers, including cryptocurrency trading. In conjunction with this approval, OKX appointed Gracie Lin as CEO of OKX SG, leveraging her experience from Grab and MAS. The license enhances OKX's regulatory compliance and market position, aligning with its strategy to contribute responsibly to Singapore's digital asset ecosystem.
