Telegram CEO Pavel Durov was arrested in France on Saturday over alleged illegal activities on the platform, including facilitating terrorism, narcotics sales, and fraud, according to reports. France's National Anti-Fraud Office detained the 39-year-old after arriving from Azerbaijan. Following the news, Toncoin (TON), linked to Telegram's The Open Network, saw a sharp 15% drop. Telegram has not yet responded to requests for comment.
