- Consensys survey reveals crypto complexity concerns, and MetaMask’s toolkit aims to simplify and streamline interactions
- MetaMask’s Delegation Toolkit supports Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains, offering seamless dApp access
MetaMask, a leader in Web3 self-custody wallet solutions, unveiled the MetaMask Delegation Toolkit at the Ethereum Community Conference (EthCC) in Brussels on July 8. This new suite of tools aims to enhance the user experience and simplify the onboarding process for new crypto users, addressing long-standing accessibility challenges in the crypto economy.
According to a recent report, Metamask’s new toolkit perfectly corresponds with the complexity of the crypto world. A poll conducted by Consensys with 15,000 participants showed that many consumers believe that crypto technology is too complex for daily usage. The MetaMask Delegation Toolkit can alleviate such misconceptions by simplifying and reducing the number of tasks incorporated in the crypto sphere.
The toolkit is currently developed for the Ethereum blockchain, but its authors plan to expand it to other blockchain platforms. This is quite a notable effort on MetaMask’s part to achieve its mission of bringing the Web3 experience to everyone.
Consensys highlighted that the toolkit can be very useful to software engineers who want to build new and complex dApps in the crypto economy. Currently, the toolkit is available for EVM-compatible chains and supports popular networks like Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Linea, Optimism, and Polygon.
The MetaMask Delegation Toolkit enables users to join a dApp immediately without being forced to install browser extensions or download applications. It also eliminates the challenge of seed phrases, which could put off many new users. Thus, MetaMask eliminates these barriers and makes the user experience seamless.
Among the features are options for gasless transactions or manual adjustment of the gas price based on the user’s preference. This flexibility gives the users more control over their transaction charges and addresses the needs of all clients, improving convenience.

Earlier this month, MetaMask partnered with Meld, a Web3 platform, to promote crypto adoption in Africa, Europe, and North America. This collaboration will enable MetaMask to support additional payment solutions for buying and selling cryptocurrencies across these regions.
Furthermore, Consensys recently acquired Wallet Guard, a security tool designed to protect users’ data and funds from malicious actors. By integrating Wallet Guard’s robust security features directly into MetaMask, the company aims to enhance user protection within the Web3 ecosystem.
