The CEO of Tether, Paolo Ardoino, recently expressed concerns about security breaches at major AI organizations, highlighting an incident at OpenAI. He advocates a shift towards locally executable artificial intelligence (AI) models as a crucial step for enhancing user privacy and maintaining data security. 

Ardoino states such measures are essential to ensure resilience and independence from centralized data mishandling.

Modern smartphones and laptops can now fine-tune general large language models (LLMs) using individual user data. This advancement allows for personalization while keeping the data enhancements confined to the user’s device, thus fortifying privacy and minimizing data leaks or unauthorized access risks.
