Tangem Expands Payment Options to Include Shiba Inu (SHIB): Report

Tangem, a prominent crypto hardware wallet provider, has broadened its payment horizons, now allowing customers to purchase its Tangem Wallet using Shiba Inu and various other cryptocurrencies. In a recent X post, Tangem emphasized its commitment to bolstering security and convenience for its global user base by integrating crypto payment options.

In a recent blog post, the platform revealed that the Tangem Wallet now supports payments in Shiba Inu on both the Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain networks, offering users greater flexibility in their transactions. This move marks a significant step forward for Tangem, aligning with its mission to cater to the evolving needs of the crypto community.

To acquire a Tangem Wallet using Shiba Inu, users can follow a straightforward process outlined by Tangem. Customers can complete their purchases seamlessly by visiting the official website, selecting the desired wallet set type, and proceeding through the checkout process. The wallet sets are priced at $69.90 for a three-card set and $54.90 for a two-card set.

During checkout, customers can opt to enter promo codes, select the quantity of sets they wish to acquire, and choose their preferred payment method. With the inclusion of Shiba Inu among the accepted cryptocurrencies, users can now leverage their SHIB holdings to secure their Tangem Wallet.

Tangem’s payment processor, NOWPayments, facilitates payment and offers various options, such as scanning QR codes or manual deposit via WalletConnect. Apart from Shiba Inu, Tangem supports payments in a wide range of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin, and Dogecoin.

This development comes more than a year after Tangem introduced a branded wallet specifically designed for Shiba Inu enthusiasts. The launch garnered significant interest from the Shiba Inu community, with 5,000 units of the Tangem Wallet pre-ordered swiftly. Shipments of the first batch of branded Shiba Inu wallets began in July 2023.

Acknowledging the shipping delay, Tangem extended a 10% discount to early adopters as a goodwill gesture. Furthermore, in February of the following year, Tangem deepened its support for the Shiba Inu ecosystem by integrating with Shibarium, the cryptocurrency’s Layer 2 blockchain.
