Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, has announced the launch of Lace 1.0, Input Output Global’s (IOG) first light wallet platform. After undergoing extensive testing and community feedback, the Web3 platform is now live on the Cardano mainnet.
According to the official announcement, Lace 1.0 aims to provide a user-friendly experience on the Web3 platform. This light wallet has been independently audited by a third party, ensuring a secure and reliable user experience.
Notable features
Lace 1.0 allows users to send and receive a variety of Cardano digital assets, such as ADA, Cardano NFTs, and Cardano native tokens. Additionally, users can stake ADA to contribute to the security of the Cardano network and earn rewards for their participation.
The platform also introduced a bundle transaction feature, which enables sending multiple assets to different addresses with a single transaction fee. The wallet also provides hardware wallet integration and easy connectivity to NFT marketplaces, DApps, and DeFi services through the DApp connector.
Users can download the Lace 1.0 extension for Google Chrome from lace.io. In order to help users get used to the platform, the wallet offers a demo users can try out as a manual that lays out each step in detail.
Furthermore, the announcement adds that the Lace team is already working on a DApp Store, a desktop app, and digital identity solutions. Furthermore, upcoming features include fiat on/off ramps, in-wallet swaps, multi-delegation for an improved staking experience, and a portfolio view.
As of now, Lace is only available on the Chrome web store. IOG has also warned users to exercise caution and report any suspicious apps or websites to the Cardano Fraud Detection Bureau.
