In an exciting collaboration, Tottenham Hotspur has joined forces with Socios.com to introduce a new way for fans to engage with the club. Starting from October 4, 2023, eligible members and season ticket holders aged 18 and above will receive free non-transferable Spurs Fan Tokens.

Tottenham Hotspur is set to join the growing trend among English Premier League teams by embracing blockchain technology to introduce its own Web3 fan token. Socios.com has already garnered the support of more than 80 major sporting teams across various sports worldwide. Furthermore, fans can actively participate in decentralized autonomous organization (DAO)-style decisions related to their beloved teams.
These Fan Tokens will grant instant access to various club-related activities such as polls, predictors, quizzes, and competitions on the Socios.com platform. Participants can earn points through these activities, which can be redeemed for exclusive rewards and experiences.
Additionally, as part of this partnership, Socios.com will contribute to the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Reignite program. This initiative aims to provide adult employment opportunities and support healthy lifestyles within the local community.
The Spurs Fan Token is set to become a valuable addition to the club’s membership scheme. One Hotspur+ Members and Season Ticket Holders will receive five free Fan Tokens, while One Hotspur/One Hotspur Connect Members will get one free Fan Token. Fans will receive a voucher code via email, redeemable within the Socios.com app.
Following the initial launch, Spurs Fan Tokens will be available to non-members for $2 each (approximately £1.65) starting on October 4. Spurs fans can look forward to tailored rewards, including Big Screen messages, VIP tickets, Spurs Shop vouchers, and virtual meet-and-greets, thanks to this partnership.
It’s important to note that the use of free Fan Tokens does not involve Chiliz, a cryptoasset on the Chiliz blockchain. As of October 8, 2023, the marketing of crypto asset promotions in the UK will be regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under new rules designed to protect consumers, including Fan Token holders. The promotion of all crypto assets in the UK, including Fan Tokens, will carry specific risk warnings.
