The introduction of Guilds to Axie Classic marks a monumental shift in the game’s landscape, heralding a new era of community engagement and cooperative gameplay. After six years without this essential feature, players can finally experience the camaraderie and support of virtual families within the game. 

As highlighted by Jihoz, co-founder of Axis Infinity, with the advent of Guilds, players can expect a myriad of exciting changes designed to enhance their experience and foster a sense of belonging within the Axie Infinity universe.

One of the most significant additions with Guilds is the creation of a community hub where players can come together, share strategies, and celebrate their achievements. As further noted by Axis Infinity on their official X page, this sense of belonging not only enriches the gameplay experience but also encourages collaboration and mutual support among players. Additionally, the introduction of Guild Chat will further facilitate communication and camaraderie within guilds, strengthening the bonds between members.

Another key feature of Guilds is the Guild Axie Vault, which allows players to share Axies, learn new strategies, and work together to climb the Guild Leaderboard. This innovative system empowers players to pool their resources and expertise, enabling them to achieve greater success collectively than they could individually. Furthermore, the Guild Treasury ensures that everyone benefits from the guild’s achievements, fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation among members.

The rollout of Guilds will occur in two phases, with each phase introducing new features and opportunities for players. In the first phase, players will be able to create and join guilds, start earning Guild XP, and utilize the Guild Axie Vault.  

Additionally, player achievements will be live, providing guild leaders and commanders with valuable insights into potential members’ suitability for their guild. The second phase will see the commencement of Season 1 of the Guild Leaderboard, offering AXS rewards to top performers and kicking off the knockout round of the Grand Tournament.

In addition to the introduction of Guilds, Axie Classic is also undergoing significant changes in its approach to attracting and retaining players. By prioritizing web3 players and providing opportunities for web2 players to transition to web3, the game aims to expand its player base and create a more inclusive and diverse community. Balancing efforts focus on stability and bug-free gameplay, with horizontal progression through features like the Coliseum and Guild systems leading the way.
