Sandeep Nailwal, the co-founder of Layer 2 blockchain Polygon, is upbeat on Web3 mainstream adoption. “The journey is going to be long, prolly a decade or so, but THE mission “mass adoption of Web3″ will be achieved.” he wrote on Twitter.
His Twitter thread is followed by Polygon Network breaking an all-time record with 190.95 million unique addresses on November 14.
The U.S. sports retail giant Nike’s choice of Polygon as the base for its NFT site, ‘.Swoosh,’ has caused native token MATIC’s price to set an all-time high.
The Polygon network has over 135 million unique addresses and has staked approximately 4 billion MATIC tokens, according to data from the official website.
As reported by CryptoRank, Polygon is the third most profitable smart contract platform in terms of monthly commissions collected. Its monthly revenue over the last 30 days is $3.4 million, a 218% increase from the previous comparable period. Polygon is currently valued at $24 million and $114 million, respectively, trailing only BNB Chain and Ethereum.

The news of other exchanges being involved in the FTX saga has raised more concerns, as many investors and traders are hesitant to invest in some projects. However, this cannot be said of MATIC, as many investors and traders remain enthusiastic about this project. The big brands currently building on Polygon include Nike, Adidas, Starbucks, Reddit, Meta, Robinhood, Ebay, Disney, Stripe, and Adobe.
I am not going anywhere, no matter which CEX goes belly up, what hacks happen, adverse regulation or whatever else, I’m gonna keep showing up everyday & fight for it
