Magic Eden Spells Polygon for Game Dev

Polygon Network and Magic Eden integrate to boost blockchain games and web3 development (for brands). The integration opens avenues for Magic Eden to partner with Intella X, Boomland, Block Games, etc. Magic Eden is set to launch a MATIC-compatible NFT marketplace once its Polygon Launchpad debuts.

A prominent cross-chain NFT marketplace, Magic Eden, is set to integrate with the Polygon Network, Polygon announced on its blog. The integration shall expedite the development of blockchain games and onboarding of global brands on to the web3.

Zhuoxun Yin, Co-Founder and COO, Magic Eden, states,

Our expansion to Polygon is really exciting for two reasons: first, we’ve always envisioned a cross-chain future for Magic Eden, and this brings us closer to uniting a broader audience who love NFTs.

Magic Eden List, Drop Calendar, and analytics to improve NFT discovery and trading will soon be introduced to support Polygon integration. Magic Eden List is a tool for audience targeting and allowlist.

Magic Eden is poised to be instrumental in supporting game developers via its reach, go-to-market, funding, infrastructure, and monetization. Expect new users ushering into the NFTs space with the Polygon and Magic Eden partnership. The masses can also now expect to access web3 games.

As Polygon grows, Magic Eden would be able to work hand-in-hand with strategic intellectual property (IP) owners, best game developers, and top creators. Integrating with Polygon, Magic Eden is bracing to access NFT collectors and global brands (embracing NFTs) to serve a varied audience.

Announcing the integration with Magic Eden, the Polygon Network tweeted:

Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder, Polygon, states,

Magic Eden’s expansion to the Polygon blockchain will bring enhanced ease-of-use, speed, and value to the NFT marketplace and introduce Polygon users to a new user-friendly NFT platform.

Magic Eden announced on Tuesday that an integration with the Ethereum scaling layer-2 blockchain prepares it for a multi-chain future. Polygon is the third blockchain to support Magic Eden.

Now, a three-chain integration allows Magic Eden to expand its omnipresence across Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon. This cross-chain Magic Eden integration shall allow creators to reap the efficiency presented by the go-to-market expertise.

The Kakao Games-backed BORA, Intella X, nWay, Boomland, Block Games’ Shatterpoint, Planet Mojo, and Taunt Battleworld are Magic Eden’s launch partners.

Primarily a Solana NFT platform, Magic Eden is set to support Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) built on Polygon. The Magic Eden and Polygon partnership shall enable layer 2-minted collectibles’ integration, boosting avid gamers’ prospects.

Notably, web3 gaming publishers such as Decentraland, Atari, The Sandbox, etc. already support Polygon. Magic Eden is committed to make NFTs chain-agnostic.

The Magic Eden team believes early web3 adoption would allow them to test genuine longevity-first use cases for NFTs (e.g. games).
