According to the press release, Porsche’s first-ever NFT collection comprises 7,500 NFTs and offers an interactive experience to NFT holders.
Through a collaborative and immersive process that lasts several months, customers can customize the creation of their unique Porsche NFTs.
They can achieve this by picking one of the three primary motifs associated with the Porsche brand. These can then be incorporated into the artwork as per their own personal preferences.
The design and personality of the NFTs will be influenced by the Performance, Heritage, and Lifestyle routes. Unreal Engine 5 was used to build each collector’s item.
Porsche’s manager of innovation and methods, stated,
Porsche heritage, typical Porsche elements, and modern lifestyle to put together an exciting set of possible layers in a token-gated and creative journey.
Coming with a total of 150K design combinations to select from, the NFTs will go on the floor in January 2023. There will be an allowlist for interested users who register in advance.
A person can purchase only three NFTs maximum at the mint event. Each of the Porsche NFTs is specially designed by the Hamburg designer and 3D artist, Patrick Vogel.
Kjell Gruner, President, and CEO, Porsche Cars North America, Inc., stated,
Porsche has longstanding links to the creative arts and we’re excited to take this next step at Art Basel in launching a beautiful, and of course unique, set of NFTs to allow private ownership of a piece of Porsche art. We’re excited for the launch in Miami, and to witness the work of the NFT owners as their bespoke artwork develops over the course of the coming months.
Along with the launch of their NFTs, Porsche is trying to incorporate the capabilities of the blockchain technology into their ongoing and prospective processes and solutions. The underlying objective is to expand in the web3 space.
