As anticipation builds for the Blockchain Futurist Conference in Toronto, Shytoshi Kusama, the enigmatic lead developer of the Shiba Ecosystem, has sprung yet another surprise for the Shib Army. This latest announcement is set to pique the community’s interest, particularly its creative members.

In a report, Kusama revealed that the Shiba Inu development team is gearing up to launch an exciting new activity that aims to captivate the creative minds within the community. The centerpiece of this endeavor is a meme contest that boldly proclaims “the supremacy of SHIB.io over X,” formerly known as Twitter. According to Kusama, the official SHIB.io website serves as the hub of the Shiba ecosystem, encompassing a variety of “Shib branded projects, partnershibs (the Shiba Inu speak for partnerships), services, products and those who utilize and embody the Shib mission”.

The contest’s premise is simple, and participants are challenged to craft “the ultimate meme that declares http://Shib.io’s supremacy over X”. The Shiba Inu team would select the best three memes to feature on Kusama’s X account. The winner would be determined based on engagement metrics. Shytoshi Kusama shared a playful equation on social media, hinting at the potential of cryptocurrency with regard to Elon Musk’s revived platform, X.

According to the report, the winner of this competition would receive a reward package valued at $250 in BONE tokens, a Shibacals hoodie, and a collection of thrilling surprises from Shiba Inu’s assortment at the Blockchain Futurist Conference. Those keen to participate only have to create a unique Shib.io > X meme and share their designs through the specified channel.

LucieSHIB, a marketing expert associated with Shiba Ecosystem and Shibarium Tech, who adeptly oversees the X pseudonym, stated that Shib.io transcends the conventional boundaries of blockchain and tokens, potentially challenging the fundamental tenets of X. She playfully added, “In fact, we’re on the verge of treading upon the paws of X’ (s doge.) Ha ha the title Doge Killer remake”.

In a preceding announcement, Kusama shared plans to integrate Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), an identity model where the user controls his digital identity, across all applications within the Shiba Inu platform, emphasizing Shibarium. Incorporating Shib SSI technology aims to grant the Shib Army greater control over their digital identities and reinforce network security.
