Acclaimed cryptocurrency project Shiba Inu is expanding its immersive impact. Reportedly, Shiba Inu and SHIB: The Metaverse are invited to exhibit at the SXSW 2023, and also preview the WAGMI Temple Hub at the Elite Showcase of VR, AR, & Mixed Reality Tech in Austin, Texas. The Shiba Inu ecosystem has announced on the ShibaSWAP blog that SHIB: The Metaverse has received an invitation to exhibit at the 2023 SXSW XR Experience.

At the VR/AR experience at SXSW 2023 in Austin, Texas, festival attendees can preview the WAGMI Temple (the first of 11 SHIB: The Metaverse HUBs). SHIB: The Metaverse is a virtual representation of SHIB’s history, an immersive experience for people “to explore, learn from, and interact with the Shiba Inu ecosystem in exciting new ways.”
In decentralized finance or DeFi, the metaverse offers the following possibilities:
- Developing new digital assets and financial instruments for trading on decentralized markets.
- Digital experiences and worlds for users to own and monetize digital real estate.
- Fresh investment and creator monetization avenues.
- Fresh online social interactions and group experiences (viz. virtual reality and gaming).
- Connecting people and sparking collaboration in new ways.
- Offering digital services beyond the physical world’s limitations.
