YZi Labs Invests in Plume to Boost Real-World Asset Network

- YZi Labs makes a strategic investment in Plume to integrate RWAs onto the blockchain.
- The network enables seamless RWA trading, lending, and borrowing on its EVM network.
- Plume’s testnet saw 18M wallets, showcasing rising demand for blockchain RWAs.
YZi Labs has announced a strategic investment in Plume Network, a modular blockchain designed to integrate real-world assets (RWAs) on-chain. Plume aims to bridge the gap between crypto-native users and traditional financial institutions by creating an ecosystem that provides a seamless gateway for managing and utilizing a diverse array of RWAs. According to an official announcement, YZi Labs’ investment reaffirms the company’s commitment to making the blockchain work for real-world applications.
Plume’s Role in RWAfi
Plume Network intends to bring real-world assets on the blockchain and open up new capital and market opportunities. The platform offers a fully integrated EVM-compatible environment, that simplifies the onboarding of RWAs like other traditional financial instruments, carbon credits, and alternative assets. This allows users to easily swap, lend, borrow, and even perform financial activities, making it interoperable with other crypto-native assets.
Moreover, Plume’s infrastructure addresses the challenge of bridging decentralized finance (DeFi) with traditional finance. With support from 180 projects, the network allows asset issuers to tokenize real-world assets and distribute them globally. Consequently, this innovation fosters the growth of the RWAfi ecosystem by offering a composable and scalable platform for both financial institutions and crypto participants.
Strategic Investment for Expansion
With funding from YZi Labs, Plume would expand its lead in the RWAfi space and strengthen its foothold in developing economies, adding more financial institutions to its ever-growing ecosystem. Plume’s successful testnet, which attracted over 18 million wallets, highlights the increasing hope for blockchain RWA solutions.
YZi Labs’ investment director, Max Coniglio, highlighted the importance of Plume’s mission. “Plume is bringing real-world assets on-chain to unlock new capital, expand access, and drive adoption,” he stated. This partnership exemplifies YZi Labs’ strategy of supporting blockchain ventures that have the potential to create meaningful impact across various industries.

The Road Ahead for RWAfi
With the growing demand for RWAs on-chain, Plume has positioned itself to fulfill this need with a robust infrastructure. Chris Yin, co-founder and CEO of Plume, thanked YZi Labs for helping them realize the vision, adding that the infrastructure that allows accessibility to RWAs should be strong. He further added that the network is building exceptional bridges allowing RWAfi to gain traction by seamlessly connecting the Web3 world with the traditional finance world.
