- Horsley predicts M&A policy changes could help large companies expand by acquiring smaller ones.
- Institutional interest in Bitcoin is growing, with 11 companies and 16 billionaires investing.
- Tokenization could transform financial markets by offering new capital access for private firms.
Hunter Horsley, the CEO of Bitwise Asset Management, has a bullish forecast for the cryptocurrency market in 2025. In an X post on Monday, Horsley explained how potential policy changes under the new Trump administration may alter the market. Horsley said that the administration’s intentions of ‘unfreezing’ M&As could facilitate the expansion of large companies by acquiring smaller ones.
M&A Policy Shifts
Horsley suggested that large enterprises such as Amazon and Google may use these policy shifts to buy companies of this type, such as Instacart or Uber. Such expansions would create further concentrated industries where large companies would eliminate small players.
This shift could give a boost to DeFi and DAO based systems, as the main idea of decentrlaization is not to trust a single entity. According to Horsley, the need for decentralized systems such as cryptocurrencies may increase as large companies increase. Crypto is based on the concept of decentralization, so there may be more interest in decentralized currencies when power is shifting to the largest companies.
He also believed that a radical shift in the business environment would occur in 2025. As Horsley said, “The enemy is stagnation, not change. Progress requires change. I’m super fired up for it.” He said he was optimistic about the market’s future and all it could bring in the next few years.

The news outlet HODL 15 Capital reported that 11 publicly traded companies have bought Bitcoin since last Monday. Furthermore, more than 16 billionaires have recently bought Bitcoin, indicating that more institutions are joining to invest in the cryptocurrency. According to Horsley, 2025 may become a turning point as more corporations start using Bitcoin as an element of their financial management.
Tokenization Financial Revolution
Horsley also shared that tokenization will transform the financial markets. He noted that most of the emphasis has been on how tokenization will allow more people to participate in markets; it might be more important for the supply side.
In particular, tokenization can become a new source of capital for private companies, especially those with more than $10 million in revenue, which do not have access to public equity markets.
With institutional interest in Bitcoin increasing, 2025 may be a pivotal year for cryptocurrencies and blockchain. As more corporations use digital assets, the market’s future seems bright.
